Trauma Informational Meeting

David Gandino, MSW, LCSW-R will be at the Bishop Harrison Center for an informational meeting focused on "Understanding the Effects of Trauma. What is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Do I have it? If so, what can be done about it?"  While especially relevant for survivors of trauma, war, sexual or physical abuse, all are welcome. For further information contact Fr. Fred. The goal is to inform and discuss options for treatment and relief.

Parish Picnic - Save the Date

The popular and well-attended Parish Picnic will be held Sunday September 10th. September may seem a long time away, but when in the middle of a fun and active summer, remember that Labor Day is just around the corner, so highlight 9/10 on your calendar! Look for more information in future bulletins.

Our Parish Garage Sale to benefit our Outreach Ministry will be held Saturday September 16th 9 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. and Sunday September 17th after Masses. Westcott Street Fair

The 26th Annual Westcott Street Fair is Sunday September 17th. Please join us in the celebration of the diversity, richness and vibrancy that is the Westcott neighborhood and march with the All Saints contingent in the parade that kicks off the day’s festivities. Donations needed - Books and Puzzles

Gently used children's books are needed for our young Congolese parishioners. Please drop them off at the Parish Office in the Bishop Harrison Center or contact Kathy Gosh at 315-440-3018 or kgosh@allsaintssyracuse.org.

Sr. Maura is collecting puzzles for the inmates at the Jamesville Correctional Facility. Put in the basket at the back of the church.

Furniture Needed

Through our Refugee Resettlement Team , our parish has signed up to sponsor a new refugee family who will come to Syracuse sometime in the future. To get ready for them, we wish to line up furniture and household items because we will only have a two week notice of when they are coming. We need beds, blankets, rugs, lamps, tables, chairs, kitchen utensils, etc.

Summer Book Study

What Everyone Needs to Know about ISLAM – a 6-week summer book study will be held Wednesdays 10-11:30am and Sundays 10:20-11:20am. The author: John L. Esposito is University Professor, Professor of Religion and International Affairs, Professor of Islamic Studies, and Founding Director of the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at the Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University. We will begin on Wednesday, July 12 and Sunday July 16. Sign-up sheets are available in the back of Church. The retail price for the book is $21.95, we’ll try to get a discount but would ask participants to pay $20. or whatever they can toward the cost of the book.
