All Saints Parish was born of the merging of the former Our Lady of Solace and the former St. Therese the Little Flower Parishes and officially celebrated its opening on the Feast of All Saints in 2008. The roots of the Parish, however, extend back to 1926, the year both of the former Parishes were opened on the southeast side of Syracuse.

Our Lady of Solace had been an anchor in the Salt Springs neighborhood and home to numbers of African American Catholics. St. Therese Parish, located in the heart of the Syracuse University residential neighborhood — within walking distance of the South Campus Housing Complex — had grown into a community composed of an urban mixture of local residents and University affiliated — often international — students, faculty and staff. Many long-time members of both former Parishes have roots extending back to the South Campus housing before settling permanently in the greater Syracuse area.

All Saints Parish embraces and celebrates the rich diversity of our southeast urban neighborhood, and extends it to all our missions of worship, friendship, service and pastoral outreach that has graced the area for 80+ years. All are welcome at All Saints.
